Dear Praying Friends,
Hello There! I hope you are doing well (in spite of inflation, the war in Ukraine, our southern border chaos, nationwide violence, etc.)!
I apologize for the lateness of this Fedena Flyer, but things have been hectic lately for me.
I am still VERY lonely without my dear wife Shirley, who I miss greatly every day, of course, but I did have my old friends from Des Moines, Iowa in my home for a couple of weeks along with a couple of days at the Jersey Shore. (The last night there, I think I may have had a heart attack!? Shh…don’t tell anyone. Heavy, heavy breathing and a lot of chest pressure on the way back to my car after a great night of witnessing on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ with brother and sister Herb and Marge Brail’s white dove – “Snow White” – passing out many tracts to all who wanted to pet her. Literally hundreds of people!) I had to drive home alone the next day…a two+ hour drive. I am doing a lot better now.
My schedule of preaching/teaching, after a long hiatus due to Covid, is starting to fill up. This Lord’s Day I will be preaching at the Delaware County Baptist Church in a King James Bible Conference for Pastor Corey Woolner. I am excited to be with him, his dear wife and brand new son, and his church people. It is a blessing to see the great improvements he and the church have made on the buildings and grounds and the new faces there as well. The next Lord’s Day I will be at Grace Ind. Baptist Church in Penndel, PA, close to my home, where Pastor Dennis Higgins, Jr. has accepted the call to be their new pastor. Then I will be with my good friend Pastor Arthur Gilmore the next Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Easton, PA. (Sadly he will be retiring from there in Oct. and I will miss him, his wife and his good people in the church.) Next I will be doing a Missions Conf. for Brother/Pastor Tony Garris at the Inner City Baptist Church in Camden, NJ. and the same week I will begin teaching at Harbor Baptist Church’s East Gate Baptist College for Pastor Patrick Higgins, in Hainesport, NJ, each Monday night for the first semester on the subject of Baptist History. (I am getting out of breath as I review this schedule. After all, I am now 88 years old, but rejoicing that the Lord is still using me!)
As you can see from all the above, I need and depend on your prayer support. PLEASE, PLEASE pray for my health and my ongoing ministry, and particularly for the meetings listed above.
I have finally completed delivering a packet of literature, including the plan of salvation, to all the homes in the section of Levittown, PA where I live. That is a total of 657 homes! Due to breathing issues I could only do about ½ of each street before getting back in the car to catch my breath, and then finishing the other half. Inside the packet I designed and printed, was a Gospel of John (entitled “The Life of Jesus” ), a handout warning about a more devastating “virus” than Covid i.e. SIN, another handout titled “Go To Hell!” explaining how when people tell you that, they have no idea what they are saying in light of Scripture. Then there was also a Chick Tract “This Is Your Life” and my favorite tract “Better Than Money” – both of which clearly give the plan of salvation. Due to fears about Covid, most people did not open the door, but all were left with a packet titled: “Hi Neighbor!” When a few did respond, I gave them a witness and attempted to lead them to Christ and His salvation. Two people professed to do so. On the back of the packet was a simple explanation of each of the items within and encouraging them to read each one and to do what they are instructed to do, along with a reminder that I am a literal neighbor of theirs. Only the Lord knows what people do with the Gospel when they are given a tract or personal witness. All the above was done with the reminder in Galatians 5:14 which says: “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Have YOU witnessed to YOUR neighbors?)
Well, that is about it for me for this Flyer. Hope YOU are doing well. Don’t look around or you will get discouraged, don’t look within or you will get depressed…JUST LOOK UP! He never fails and He is coming back to get us SOON!
Sincerely in the Savior,
Pastor (emeritus) Paul C. Fedena
