Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings in His matchless Name!
Sorry for being late with this update, but we have been quite busy. We just returned from a prophecy conference in Palm Desert, California with Pastor Cliff Reedman and his dear people in the Palm Cities Baptist Church. We saw at least three folks saved and one first time lady visitor renew her commitment to the Lord after her 14 year old daughter got saved. We preached a Sat. prayer breakfast, all the services on Sunday, and returned from Palm Springs to preach the Thurs. eve service. We were treated royally while there by the Pastor and his wife. They have 3 great children (the baby is only weeks old). Cliff and his father Jim Reedman were members of Faith Baptist in Fairless Hills under my ministry there. Jim drove one hour from his home and he and his wife and son were in all the services. His wife took care of Shirley every chance she got. She was so sweet. (The temperature was around 85 degrees each day, and we thought of you while sitting under the palm trees! Yeah, right! Sorry we couldn’thave taken you with us, but they charge so much for extra luggage these days, you know! Besides we know how much you have loved this winter weather here in the east. J)
We returned on a Friday andthen we did another (1 day) prophecy meeting for Pastor Kevin Cavanaugh, thenew pastor of Valley Baptist Church in Coatesville, PA last Sunday where wewere former members under Dr. Sal Yannizzi. Kevin is his son-in-law and the church seems to be doing well under new leadership. We had a good response tothe invitations each service.
Shirley had about 2 weeks of less pain, but it seems to have returned with a vengeance. She really enjoyed the hiatus and seemed good in Calif. with the hot, dry weather. She also used a hot tub which really helped with the pain. She did fall in the motel and hurt her backso that hasn’t been good. She did very well on the plane trip to and from Ca. and didn’t need oxygen! Praise the Lord!
Presently we have very fewmeetings scheduled, but the phone always rings when we need it. God is so good. ALWAYS. He always meets our needs and provides for us through churches andfriends. Today a former member of Faith,Frank Harper, dropped off some food – a rotisserie chicken which we love and some fruit. We have someone (?) who gives us frozen food at Straightway Baptist (our home church about once per month.) We own our home (though the taxes are exorbitant!), we lease a car and we have another former member of Faith, Mrs. Maryellen Heath, who cleans our home once every two weeks. I am learning to cook a few things (against my better judgment), and am learning to eat frozen dinners (which I never expected to do).
I will soon turn 80 but am in good general health. I am preaching nearly weekly (hopefully not weakly! J) some place. I teach Sun. School at Straightway Baptist whenever I am in town. I go soul-winning every week on Sat. also near our church in the Princeton area. We had a meeting re: a new building on Wed.night after the service and things are finally moving along there.
We trust you are well and enjoying God’s blessings. We would love to see you or hear from you. Keep looking UP! Our redemption draweth nigh!
Sincerely in the Savior,
Pastor (emeritus) Paul C. Fedena
Aren't you glad your mother didn't abort YOU?
