INTRO.:
A. Our Sept.- Oct. corresponds to Israel's month called Tishri. It is the 7th month on their calendar.
Three of their great Feasts were observed in this month: Trumpets, the Day of Atonement & The Feast of
Tabernacles. This is the last of the 7 Feasts listed in Lev.23. (cf.v.33-38)
B. There is great typical significance in these 7 feasts both for us & for Israel:

Heb 4:12,13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of
him with whom we have to do.
(NOTE: The antecedent of the word “him” is “the Word of God” – interesting!)
