Dear Praying Friends,
I am having many of my printed studies, sermons, lessons, etc. reprinted by my pastor, Louis Guarneri at Straightway B.C. and by Pastor Chad Braley, who pastors the church in Fairless Hills, PA, where I was the pastor for 31 years, (I do the binding myself). I hear the clock of life ticking loudly these days, and I want these items to continue to be available after I pass from this earthly scene. I will turn 90 (!) on May 28th. Most of the material is on the website above, if you have access. PLEASE go there and I believe you will be surprised and blessed by much of the material. And the good news is that it is all FREE. And even after I join Shirley and my son Dean in Heaven, using that material, it will be as if “He being dead, yet speaketh.”
On my kitchen table I have the following poem sent to me by Brother & Sister Herb & Marge Brail, before Herb went to heaven himself. I talk to Shirley every night and remind her that I still love her and miss her daily. She never answers me! I guess she is too busy(?). I believe that those in Heaven know what is going on down here on their former dwelling place but can’t communicate their thoughts now. Hebrews 12:1 speaks of a “so great cloud of witnesses”. (Many believe that is referring to the Heroes of the Faith in Heb. 11, but that small number doesn’t constitute “so great a cloud of witnesses” in my view.) You may say that if they knew what a mess planet earth is presently, that they would be sad. Probably so. But their (and our) tears will not be wiped away until after the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Tribulation and the establishment of the New Heaven and New Earth:
Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Finally, here is that poem, and it states exactly how I feel on a daily basis:
A million times I've needed you,
A million times I've cried.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place,
No one else can ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
Part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.
I hope this is an encouragement to those of you who have loved ones in Heaven also.
