Dwight Lyman Moody
Dwight Lyman Moody (1837 - 1899) was born in Massachusetts. As a young man, he took a job as a clerk in his uncle's shoe store. There he was led to Christ by a Sunday School teacher, Edward Kimball. He became President of the YMCA in 1866. He organized what is now called the Moody Memorial Church and founded what is now called the Moody Bible Institute. In 1873 he went to England for a series of crusades. He left America virtually unknown, and returned as a famous evangelist after starting a revival in Britain.

GEORGE MUELLER
GEORGE MUELLER (1805 - 1898), the great benefactor of orphans, was born in Prussia. Even while studying for the ministry he lived in sin and crime. His lifestyle changed upon his conversion, however, and Mueller moved to England and applied for service with the London Missionary Society. He was rejected and began to preach wherever he could. He opened the first orphanage in 1870. During his lifetime he raised over 120,000 orphans and read the entire Bible 200 times.

BILLY SUNDAY
WILLIAM ASHELY SUNDAY (1862 - 1935) was born in Ames, Iowa. His father died while Billy was young, so he was raised in an orphanage. He became a professional baseball player with the "White Sox." He was converted to Christ in 1886 through an outreach of the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. After serving briefly with the YMCA, he began to preach. He was ordained by the Presbytery in Chicago. It is said that as he toured America preaching he brought a million souls to Christ. He is remembered as performing amazing acrobatic feats as he preached.
