Greetings in His matchless Name!
Is it just me or do the summers seem to be getting shorter and the winters longer?? In any event this summer seems to have flown by and the leaves are turning, getting ready to fall, announcing that the looooong winter is nearly upon us. I just hope it isn't as harsh as last winter!
It has been a short, but sweet summer and we have kept quite busy. We did enjoy a recent vacation (all expenses paid!) with old friends and family members. Shirley enjoyed a pain free week (she loves the heat) due to your prayers and a new medication. However she is back in pain once again and I thought I might have to take her to the hospital tonight. She is in agony. Please don't forget to pray for her.
A couple of weeks ago we had the blessed opportunity to preach an all day (4 services) Sunday in our former ministry at Faith Baptist Church in Fairless Hills, PA where we pastored for 31 years. It was a great day and it has been a long time since we have been there. The church is seeking God's will for a new pastor and they had their first candidate last Wed. night. Please pray that God's will will be done there.
This coming Sunday we will be preaching all the services at the Keystone Ind. Baptist Church in E. Greenville, PA (Quakertown area) for the good pastor there. Brother Kurt LaCapruccia is leading this ministry to get the church back on its feet financially after a very difficult situation with the former Pastor. I will be there for a one-day missions conference teaching and preaching on giving and missions to help him re-establish a firm financial footing. Please pray for this Pastor and this needy ministry. They have also don a great job in refurbishing the physical property there under Pastor LaCapruccia's leadership.
